Using your WECERT Results
Your WECERT certification, validation or verification result is an achievement worth communicating — but it must always be presented accurately, transparently and within its approved scope.
These guidelines explain how to reference your WECERT result, use applicable marks and statements, and communicate your assurance status without creating misleading claims.
YOUR RESULT. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
Assurance Builds Trust When it is Communicated Correctly
Achieving certification, validation or verification through WECERT provides independent recognition of conformity or assurance. Organizations are encouraged to communicate their achievement to customers, regulators, business partners and other interested parties.
However, references to certification, validation or verification must accurately reflect what was assessed, the applicable scope, and the status of the result.
A WECERT mark, statement or reference must never be presented in a way that could mislead users regarding the subject of the assurance, extend the result beyond its approved scope, or imply certification or verification of something that was not assessed.
This principle is strongly supported by both of your documents. The certification document specifically distinguishes management-system certification from product/service certification, while the V&V document requires clients not to imply that information outside the validated/verified subject matter has been assured.

FOR CERTIFIED ORGANIZATIONS
Using Your Certification Correctly
WECERT management system certification demonstrates that the organization’s management system has been assessed against the applicable certification requirements. It does not, by itself, certify a particular product or service.
FOR VALIDATED & VERIFIED CLIENTS
Communicating Validation & Verification Results
Validation and Verification Statements provide assurance relating to defined claims, information or subject matter. Any reference to a WECERT Validation or Verification result must clearly correspond to the information that was actually subject to the engagement.
A WECERT mark must not be used in a manner that implies that statements or information outside the validated or verified subject matter have also been assured.
